Project overview
When hospitals are overwhelmed and travel is dangerous, the sick and injured are often left with nowhere to turn. Our Mobile Medical Clinics close that gap by bringing primary healthcare to the doorstep — into displacement shelters, damaged neighbourhoods and communities that have lost their nearest clinic.
Each mobile team is staffed by a doctor, a nurse and a community health worker, and carries a stocked pharmacy of essential medicines. They treat the everyday illnesses that turn deadly when they go unmanaged: chest and skin infections, untreated chronic conditions like diabetes and hypertension, childhood fevers, and the wounds that need cleaning and dressing before they turn septic.
The clinics do more than treat — they catch problems early. By running antenatal checks for expectant mothers, screening children for malnutrition, and referring urgent cases to hospital before they become emergencies, our teams prevent a great deal of suffering that would otherwise arrive too late.
Mobility is the whole point. A clinic that can pack up and move follows families as they are displaced, reaches places fixed facilities cannot, and keeps a thread of reliable care running through the most unstable conditions.
