Giving from India

Donate to Palestine & Gaza from India

Most people in India who look for a way to donate to Gaza expect to pay by UPI or with a QR code. This site doesn't take UPI, cards or bank transfers: we accept crypto only, sent from your own wallet or from an exchange account to a one-time address on our donate page. If you start with rupees, that usually means buying USDT on an exchange and withdrawing it on the network we show. Zakat is welcome and kept for eligible recipients. India has its own rules on crypto and on sending money abroad, so check what applies to you before you send.

How to donate from India

Crypto only. We accept BTC, ETH, USDT and other coins; there are no card, PayPal, bank or recurring payments. Rules on crypto differ by country, so check what applies to you before sending. New to crypto? Read the guide.

Gift value

Crypto isn't sent in INR (₹). Check what your gift is worth in INR in your wallet or exchange, then send the equivalent.

Accepted coins

Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), USDT on Ethereum (ERC-20), USDT on Tron (TRC-20), USDT on Solana (SPL). Pick one on our donate page for a one-time address, and send on that network.

We don't publish an 80G approval, so please treat gifts made through this site as not eligible for Indian tax relief. Send us your transaction ID and we'll confirm the amount and date of your gift for your records.

Rules on cryptocurrency, sending money abroad and giving to organisations based overseas differ from country to country. Before you give from India, please check the rules that apply to you.

Why donors in India trust us

  • We never ask for UPI, a QR code or a personal bank account: every gift goes to a one-time crypto address from our donate page.
  • Zakat is recorded as Zakat and kept for eligible recipients; our running costs are not paid from Zakat.
  • Every transfer is recorded on a public blockchain you can check yourself, and we confirm your gift against its transaction ID.

Donating from India: your questions answered

Can I donate to Palestine from India using UPI?
Not on this site. We don't accept UPI, cards or bank transfers, only crypto: Bitcoin, Ethereum, or USDT on Ethereum (ERC-20), Tron (TRC-20) or Solana. If you want to pay by UPI, give to a registered organisation that publishes its UPI ID on its own website, and check it carefully before you pay.
How do I donate to Gaza from India online?
Decide the amount in rupees. If you don't already hold crypto, buy USDT on an exchange you use, then open our donate page, pick USDT and a network, and copy the one-time address. Withdraw from your exchange to that address on the same network, and keep the transaction ID. Your exchange shows its withdrawal fee before you confirm; Tron and Solana network fees are usually lower than Ethereum's.
Can I pay my Zakat to Gaza from India?
Yes. Give through our Zakat page, or share your transaction ID afterwards and tell us it is Zakat. It is kept for Zakat-eligible recipients, and our running costs are not paid from Zakat. The nisab is 7.5 tola of gold (87.48 g) or 52.5 tola of silver (612.36 g); many scholars in India advise the silver measure for cash. For your own case, ask a mufti or your local Darul Ifta.
Is a Gaza donation QR code shared on WhatsApp safe?
Be careful. We never collect donations through UPI IDs, QR codes or personal bank accounts, so any QR code using our name is not ours. In September 2025, police in India arrested people accused of collecting money in Gaza's name through social media appeals and their own UPI IDs. Before you give to anyone, check who is collecting, where they are registered and how the money reaches Gaza.
Are there tax rules in India for sending crypto?
Yes. India has specific tax rules for crypto (virtual digital assets), and separate rules for sending money abroad; check them before you send, or ask a tax adviser. We don't publish an 80G approval, so please treat a gift through this site as not eligible for Indian tax relief.
