Can I donate from South Africa in rand?
You can pay with a ZAR card, but the payment settles in the nearest supported currency, usually US dollars. Your bank converts at the card network rate — the amount charged is displayed before you confirm.
Will I receive a Section 18A certificate?
Not at present. We are not yet registered as a South African public benefit organisation, so donations made here are not currently deductible under Section 18A. We would rather say so plainly than let a receipt imply a benefit that does not exist.
Can I give Zakat or Lillah to Palestine from South Africa?
Yes. Choose the Zakat option for Zakat-eligible relief under our 100% Zakat policy, or give as general Sadaqah or Lillah to any campaign — displaced families in Gaza are among the clearest eligible recipients.
