Accessibility Statement

Giving should be possible for everyone. Fight for Palestine is committed to making this website accessible to the widest possible audience, including people who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, magnification or other assistive technology. Our goal is conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.

What we have implemented

• Semantic HTML. Pages use proper landmarks, a logical heading hierarchy with a single main heading per page, lists, and native elements (such as real buttons, links and form controls) so assistive technology can interpret the structure correctly.
• Keyboard navigation. Every interactive element — menus, forms, accordions and the donation flow — can be reached and operated with a keyboard alone, in a logical tab order.
• Visible focus states. A clear focus outline follows you as you tab through the page, so you always know where you are.
• Reduced-motion support.Animations and transitions respect your operating system's “reduce motion” preference and are toned down or disabled when it is enabled.
• Colour contrast. Text and interactive elements are designed to meet WCAG AA contrast ratios in both light and dark themes, and information is never conveyed by colour alone.
• Accessible forms. Every form field has a visible label, errors are announced to screen readers and identified in text, and invalid fields are flagged programmatically.
• Descriptive images and links. Meaningful images include alternative text, decorative icons are hidden from assistive technology, and link text describes its destination.
• Responsive, zoomable layout. Pages remain usable at 200% zoom and on small screens without loss of content or functionality.

Known limitations

Some third-party content may not fully meet our standards — in particular the Stripe checkout experience, which is built and maintained by Stripe, and occasional embedded media from external platforms. We choose providers with strong accessibility records and raise issues with them when we find gaps.

How we maintain this

Accessibility is part of our development process, not an afterthought. New features are checked against WCAG 2.1 AA criteria with a combination of automated testing, keyboard walkthroughs and screen reader spot checks before release, and we periodically review existing pages as the site evolves.

Accessibility reports are prioritised: we aim to respond within two working days and to fix verified barriers as quickly as possible.
