Giving from Nigeria

Donate to Palestine & Gaza from Nigeria

Nigeria is home to one of the largest Muslim communities in Africa, and concern for the people of Palestine is voiced in Friday sermons and Ramadan gatherings from Kano and Sokoto to Ilorin, Abuja and Lagos. Zakat and Sadaqah are part of ordinary family life, and many Nigerians already use stablecoins such as USDT, which makes giving from Nigeria straightforward. Each gift is sent in crypto to a one-time address that forwards automatically to our wallet.

How to donate from Nigeria

Crypto only. We accept BTC, ETH, USDT and other coins; there are no card, PayPal, bank or recurring payments. Rules on crypto differ by country, so check what applies to you before sending. New to crypto? Read the guide.

Gift value

Crypto isn't sent in NGN (₦). Check what your gift is worth in NGN in your wallet or exchange, then send the equivalent.

Accepted coins

Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), USDT on Ethereum (ERC-20), USDT on Tron (TRC-20), USDT on Solana (SPL). Pick one on our donate page for a one-time address, and send on that network.

We make no claim of Nigerian tax deductibility for donations made through this site, and we do not publish a charity registration in Nigeria. Nigeria has its own rules on crypto-assets, foreign exchange and fundraising, so please check what applies to you before giving. Send us your transaction ID and we'll confirm the amount and date of your gift.

Rules on cryptocurrency, sending money abroad and giving to organisations based overseas differ from country to country. Before you give from Nigeria, please check the rules that apply to you.

Why donors in Nigeria trust us

  • USDT on Tron (TRC-20) or Solana (SPL) keeps fees low, so more of a small gift reaches Gaza.
  • Zakat gifts are recorded as Zakat and kept for eligible recipients; our running costs are not paid from Zakat.
  • Every transfer is verifiable on the public blockchain, and partners are checked before funds move.

Donating from Nigeria: your questions answered

Can I donate to Gaza from Nigeria in naira?
Not directly. We accept crypto only, so there is no naira bank transfer, card or USSD option. Most donors in Nigeria buy USDT with naira in a wallet or exchange app, check what their gift is worth in naira, then send that amount to the one-time address from our donate page. Rules on crypto differ from country to country, so please check what applies to you before sending.
Can I send USDT I bought on a P2P market?
Yes. Once the USDT is in your own wallet or exchange account, you can send it from there. If you buy through P2P, stay inside the platform's own escrow and release or pay only through it. Then withdraw to our one-time address on the same network it was issued for: TRC-20, ERC-20 or Solana. Coins sent on the wrong network can be lost for good.
Which network is cheapest for a small gift from Nigeria?
USDT on Tron (TRC-20) or Solana (SPL) usually costs the least to send. Bitcoin and Ethereum network fees can take a large share of a small gift. Check the withdrawal fee your app shows for each network before you choose, because exchanges set their own.
Can I pay my Zakat for Palestine from Nigeria?
Yes. Send your gift, then share the transaction ID with us and tell us it is Zakat. It is recorded as Zakat and kept for Zakat-eligible recipients, the poor and needy among families in Gaza. Our guide to Zakat in naira explains how to work out the nisab. For rulings on your own situation, ask your scholar or mosque.
Are you connected to NSCIA or the Palestinian Embassy in Abuja?
No. We are an independent organisation and are not affiliated with the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, the Embassy of the State of Palestine in Abuja, any state Zakat commission, or any exchange or app you might use to buy USDT.
